The "ROBOT SPIRITS ver. ANIME" series of robot-themed movable finished products released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectible toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS , announced that the latest product from "Mobile Suit Z Gundam", "GM II (Glen Valley Specification) ~Drop Pack Equipment~", is scheduled to be released in July 2025.
The RMS-179 GM II is an improved version of the RGM-79 GM used by the Earth Federation Army after the end of the One Year War. Its engine, backpack, auxiliary sensors and other components have been modernized and improved, and it is equipped with Federation standard weapons such as beam sabers, beam rifles, and super bazookas. This model was not only used as the main mass-produced model by the Federation Army during the Delaz Conflict, but was also manufactured and used in large quantities by the Valley and Titans forces at the beginning of the Grips Campaign in 0087. However, it was soon replaced by next-generation models with higher performance, such as the "Marasai" and "Nemo".
"ROBOT SPIRITS GM II (Valley Specification) ver. ANIME ~Drop Pack Equipment~" has a refined armor shape and outline based on the animation design, and incorporates the movable joint technology cultivated over the years in ver. ANIME, using a new movable shoulder mechanism, knee linkage mechanism, etc., to bring a more flexible range of motion. The entire machine also uses new color to reproduce the green tone of the valley specification.
In addition to the beam rifle, beam saber, and shield, the weapon also comes with a complete set of landing backpack equipment that can be equipped on the chest, back, and legs respectively, recreating the atmospheric penetration specifications of the "Jaburo Drop Operation" carried out by Yugu in "Z Gundam".
