The monster soft plastic model "Toho Big Monsters" based on Toho movie monsters , produced by Japan's PLEX and distributed by X-PLUS, announced that the latest product "FAVORITE SCULPTORS LINE Mothra (2001) & Baragon (2001) Fierce Fighting Color Ver. " from the movie "Godzilla Mothra: King Ghidorah Big Monsters Total Attack" is expected to be released in May 2025.
Mothra and Baragon that appear in the movie "Godzilla Mothra: King Ghidorah Big Monster Total Attack" are not just simple monsters. They are the "guardian beasts" of the ancient Japanese dynasty who sealed them in a holy place and worshipped them as gods after they were defeated. Mothra is written in Chinese characters as "Saijuro" and Baragon is "Barahuhong". The sacred beasts protect the natural mountains and rivers and will never forgive humans who destroy the environment and life. When the collective form of resentment "Godzilla" set foot in Japan, the national sacred beasts awakened one after another to protect the country.
This product is modified based on the general version released in 2018, and prototype artist Shunsuke Niwa (MONSTER MAKER 28) was once again invited to collaborate on the production. The product also includes a soft-rubber model of Mothra (2001) with a wing length of 35 cm and a soft-rubber model of Barragan (2001) with a total length of approximately 28 cm .
Mothra (2001) is based on the image of the final battle in the Yokohama sea of fire. While restoring the gorgeous patterns on the body and the unique purple compound eyes, the whole body is painted in a reddish tone to show the state of being illuminated by the fire. Baragon (2001) is based on the scene of the battle between Godzilla and Owakudani. The whole body is painted with an old paint to show that it is being suppressed by Godzilla and covered with sand.
