American toy brand NECA announced a new Chucky doll early this morning (21st). It is a Chucky action figure based on the classic 1990 horror movie Child's Play 2! It is expected to start shipping in the second quarter of 2026, with a suggested retail price of US$37.99.
In the 1988 film *The Haunting*, the psychopathic serial killer nicknamed Chucky , Charles Lee Ray, used a voodoo spell to transfer his evil soul into a bestselling Good Guys doll before being captured and killed by the police while hiding in a toy store. This created a seemingly cute and harmless but actually terrifying toy of a serial killer. In
the sequel, *The Haunting*, Chucky continued his killing spree and his plan to possess the body of a young boy named Andy. Whether it was Chucky screaming and tearing apart his right hand, or the factory piled high with Good Guys dolls, these scenes left a deep impression on toy enthusiasts. The final scene, where his mouth expands and explodes after being stuffed with a tube filled with air, is considered a classic!
