The prototype was designed by chief animal prototype artist Shinobu Matsumura. Polystone is used as the material, and the scales on the Tyrannosaurus Rex's body and the uneven rough texture of the body surface are delicately depicted, and superb coloring techniques are used to convey a strong sense of real life. However, there is debate among experts about the undecided feathers. The team decided to create striped feathers that grow along the spine from the top of the head to the tip of the tail of this Tyrannosaurus.
