The KAIJU ENVISIONS series of the model brand JOKU Production, founded by Hong Kong's well-known prototype master Joe, will launch a new product with the theme of the 1974 movie "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla" - the "Mechagodzilla 1974 (Revelation VER.)" soft vinyl model. The reference retail price is US$332 and is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2025!
The first film in which Mechagodzilla appeared, "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla" (Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla) released in 1974, tells the story of a third planetary being from a dying planet who is eager to invade the Earth and creates a heavy mechanical weapon in the image of Godzilla - "Mechagodzilla". At the end of the film, Godzilla, who teamed up with King Cesar, defeated him.
This work was first unveiled in the form of a resin model at the Wonder Festival in the summer of 2024. After receiving a warm response, it is now officially open for pre-order! KAIJU ENVISIONS Mechagodzilla 1974 (Revelation VER.) is about 28.5 cm tall. Inspired by the classic scene in the movie where Mechagodzilla reveals his true form after being attacked, the figure is made to look like Mechagodzilla’s cold armor is revealed under Godzilla’s burnt and damaged skin. His eyes are much more fierce than in the movie. The carving is exquisitely restored to restore Godzilla’s rough skin texture and Mechagodzilla’s mechanical structure details. The ingenious joints between organic and inorganic are also carefully processed, showing a realistic spirit that goes beyond the flash special effects scenes in the movie!
The exquisite paint job uses dust and rust effects on the metal base and rough surface to create a battle-hardened look. The arms are easily movable, and the eyes have LED lighting functions, which can greatly enhance the powerful charm of this revealing scene when turned on!
