This item was started with the idea of ``creating a gigantic Legion that will go down in the history of monster figures.'' The person in charge of the prototype was Susuki Garage (Susuki Togeno), which continues to receive high praise from fans for its monster and creature modeling. Based on his suggestion, we decided to create a three-dimensional figure with a pose that conforms to the movie poster version. Legion swung its upper body up, raising its huge body as if hitting the sky. While making use of the perspective visuals, the silhouette follows the Legion in the movie, as well as biological arrangements based on modern crustaceans, beetles, etc., scattered throughout to create an artistic finish.
Although it is a single piece, the silhouette made up of intricate parts gives it an atmosphere reminiscent of a "fortress." The pedestal is shaped to resemble Ashikaga City, which is the final battle in the movie, with its huge body standing upright as it tramples over a factory amidst scattered rubble. By using resin cast (polyurethane) for most of the material, dense and precise textures are reproduced to the utmost. In addition, aiming to create a "statue that looks like a work of art or sculpture," the painting of the whole body follows the poster version, but the emphasis is on a profound coloring that adds the original color of Legion. The entire body is painted with a dirty paint that makes the edges of the model stand out, and the back has a faint blue light that is also seen in the poster. The black shadow expressions on each part are also colored with reference to the suit in the movie. On the head, the light-emitting organ of Legion, which has a strong presence on the poster, is expressed in color. Clear parts are used for the eyeballs, and the back side is colored to create the illusion that there is a bright light source deep inside the eyes. The pedestal is painted to reflect the flames that represent the explosion that occurs at the feet of the Legion, as depicted in the poster. Furthermore, by bringing the center of the light source directly below the legion, you can create a powerful and realistic finish.
