Legion, the powerful enemy that fights Gamera in the movie, is a "silicon creature" that landed on Earth on a meteorite. It looks like an arthropod on Earth. Its shell can reflect electromagnetic waves, and its joints use high-pressure oxygen to generate power movement. It has a strong reproductive ability. The average individual is about 1 to 2 meters tall, and the mother can be as long as 160 meters. The 10 sharp interference wave claws on the head can release various electromagnetic waves to invalidate the fireballs spit out by Gamera. It can also expand the left and right corners of its mouth to focus microwaves and emit powerful beams of light.
"SH MonsterArts Legion" was thoroughly supervised by the modeler Fuyuki Hinada , who was in charge of making the Legion costume at the time . The definitive version was made with a powerful size of approximately 40 cm in length and 24 cm in height, faithfully reproducing the complex body of an arthropod, and no flaws in the parts can be seen from any angle.
The extremely large body is also designed with a rich variety of movable mechanisms. The ten "interference wave claws" on both sides of the head each have an independent movable joint, and the base of the large horn at the front of the head has an openable and closable joint, which can reproduce the state of emitting microwave beams. The lower body has forelimbs with huge claws and hind limbs with sickle-shaped tips that can swing in multiple directions.
The model's entire body also refers to the coloring techniques used for the costumes at the time, making the model's image closer to the appearance of the costumes and showing the surface texture and shadows of the entire body shell. The electronic eyes on the head use transparent parts and internal details to depict the texture of the compound eyes, while the densely packed ovaries in the abdomen use transparent parts and luxurious color painting.
This product also reproduces the "Legion Flight Form" that was not fully photographed in the drama for the first time in an action figure specification. The transformation mechanism was designed based on the flight form draft newly drawn by Fuyuki Shinda, and it comes with large transparent wing parts with a polarized texture.
