Published by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectible toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, the "METAL ROBOT Spirit" series, which combines metallic paint and alloy frames, officially released the latest product from the theatrical animation "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM" today . Akatsuki Gundam (Shiranui Gear) SEED FREEDOM Ver." is expected to be released in September 2024. This product is only available at PREMIUM BANDAI, Bandai’s official online store.
ORB-01 Akatsuki Gundam is the flagship mobile suit of the Op Army built by the Op state-owned enterprise "Shuguangsha". This machine is designed based on the data of "GAT-X105 Attack Gundam", and can replace the "Great Eagle Equipment" used in the atmosphere and the "Shiranui Equipment" used in space. Akatsuki attaches great importance to the defense system. The dazzling golden paint on the entire machine is not a decoration, but the mirror armor "Yatamiror" that can reflect light beams. "METAL ROBOT Soul Akatsuki Gundam (Shiranui Equipment) SEED FREEDOM Ver." is modified from the regular version released in 2020. Printing and color matching of some aircraft have also been adjusted. The golden armor is made through vacuum evaporation technology. The thickness of the film layer is thinner than that of ordinary electroplating, giving the armor surface a dazzling golden color. Joints that are prone to wear are made using electrolytic plating with a higher film strength. Many frames are made of alloy material, and the exposed frames on the chest and shoulders are electrostatically painted to enhance the heavy texture of the alloy material.
