The theme of this product, "realistic color matching," comes from the color matching used by the original Gundam mechanical designer Kunio Okawara on the 1981 "Mobile Suit Gundam" movie poster. It is different from the toy-like bright colors in the animation, using dark colors. The use of green, sand yellow, ocean blue and other real-life paint colors used in military weapons, combined with practical fuselage logos, created a craze in the first half of the 1980s and promoted the vigorous development of the "MSV" series in the future.
