BANDAI SPIRITS' collectible toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, has announced a new addition to their HI-METAL R series of alloy models, "Junkin," based on the classic anime "Armored Trooper Votoms," scheduled for release in October 2026.
The ATM-09-GC Beast Dog is a specially designed mobile suit for perfect soldiers, modified from the Spectacled Fighting Dog. It features a unique pink paint scheme and is piloted by the female protagonist, Fiana , in the series . While its fixed armament limits its versatility, its overall firepower is significantly enhanced. It also features a heavy-duty PRSP backpack on its back, which not only provides higher output but also extends PR fluid exchange time, allowing it to maintain a "high-speed maneuver" state for longer periods.
The "HI-METAL R Beast Dog" is a modified version of the previously released Spectacular Fighting Dog series. The entire machine's color scheme has been replaced with the rose-red armor characteristic of Beast Dog, and the unique markings on the body of each machine have been reproduced. In addition, a completely redesigned "Fiana" action figure of the same scale is included. Not only does it reproduce the elegant figure, but it also has a lot of articulation points. The head can be interchanged with or without a helmet, and the figure can be placed in the cockpit to recreate the piloting scene.
Some joints are made of alloy parts, which not only conveys the weight of the heavy armor but also provides stability and a range of motion. Furthermore, the machine features various articulation mechanisms: newly designed large pulleys on the heels allow rotation, the head armor can be deployed to reveal the cockpit, and most of the lower body's movable axes allow for a landing posture. The armament features a newly designed high-powered Gatling gun and metal grappling hook on the right arm, while the PRSP backpack on the back includes a mechanism for storing magazine parts.
