Zoid AZ-14 Rigara Zero XS (Takara Tomy)
STATUE INFORMATION
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of its popular Lloyd ZOIDS series, Japanese toy company TAKARA TOMY has announced the latest addition to its modern remake series, "ADVANCED Zi SERIES," with the "AZ-14 Longtooth Lion Zero X" scheduled for release in late September 2026.
Unlike typical Lloyds equipped with an OS system, the Lion-type Lloyd "RZ-041 Longfang Lion Zero" is a Lloyd developed by the Kairos Empire based on a "completely wild" form. It possesses the most distinctive feature: the "CAS (Changing Armor System)," which allows for the replacement of armor and weapons to adapt to different environments and tactical needs. The newly released "Longfang Lion Zero X" is a dedicated CAS independently developed by the Republic Army after the Empire's prototype was captured, utilizing enemy development plans. It features highly stealthy optical camouflage and numerous powerful electric shock weapons.
The "AZ-14 Lion Zero X" is based on the previously released AZ-02 Lion Zero frame, using a large number of newly designed parts to reproduce the high electromagnetic sword on its back, various power storage devices, and generators. Not only are the surfaces of the parts sculpted with high-density details to reproduce the mechanical structure, but the size of each armor piece has also been adjusted to match the power mechanism to avoid interference with movement. When activated, it can reproduce the deployment of various weapon mechanisms and a walking performance that feels like it has come to life.
Once the internal motor is activated, the Lion Zero X can walk like a feline, with its head, tail, and electromagnetic sword on its back swaying as it walks. Combined with the LED lighting mechanism in its head's eyes and chest's internal core, it conveys the realism of a metallic life form. In addition, most of its body has manually adjustable joints, such as the cockpit in the head, the movable fairings on both sides of the head, and the deployment of the transparent armor on its limbs, allowing it to be played with in a pose as if firing a high-voltage beam cannon.
TAKARA TOMY will also release a separate "AZ-14EX Longtooth Lion Zero Dedicated X Assembly" which only includes the new design parts . If you already own the "AZ-02 Longtooth Lion Zero" body, you can use this set of parts to directly replace and reproduce the Longtooth Lion Zero X.
