BANPRESTO, the prize brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, has announced its latest product from the movie "Godzilla-1.0": the " Art Scene Model Wu Er Luo (2023) Odo Island Attack Image Ver. ", which is scheduled to be released in February 2026!
The Godzilla featured in the film "Godzilla 1.0" was originally a giant dinosaur-like monster that inhabited the deep sea around Ōdo Island. Locals called it "Gorro" (*This is the phonetic equivalent of the Japanese word "ゴジラ"). Standing approximately 15 meters tall, it possessed remarkable regenerative abilities. Before the end of World War II, Japanese forces invaded Ōdo Island and attacked the Japanese garrison, causing massive casualties. After the war, the US military conducted nuclear tests on Bikini Atoll, causing the monster to mutate into the 50-meter-tall Godzilla.
The second BANPRESTO " Art Scene Model Wuerluo (2023) Odo Island Attack Ver. " measures approximately 13 cm tall and 16 cm long. This intricate sculpture recreates the terrifying scene at the beginning of the film where Wuerluo lands on Odo Island and attacks the Japanese army! Its dinosaur-like appearance is meticulously detailed, with its rough skin texture, spiny dorsal fin, and ferocious expression. The richly colored paint job also features details of the destroyed buildings and flames on Odo Island on the base, showcasing Wuerluo's destructive power illuminated by the flames!
