INFORMATION
BANPRESTO, a prize brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, announced that the latest prize from the movie "Godzilla-1.0", "Art Scene Model Godzilla (2023) Sea Image ver." is expected to be officially launched on May 20, 2025.
Godzilla (2023), which appeared in Godzilla 1.0, was originally an ancient dinosaur-like creature that lived in the deep sea around Odo Island and was 15 meters tall. It was called "Urro" by local residents. However, in 1946 after World War II, the US military conducted a nuclear test near the Bikini Atoll, causing Godzilla to mutate into a 50-meter-tall Godzilla. His exaggerated regenerative ability allows him to recover immediately even if he is hit by ship artillery, and he can spit out high-powered nuclear bomb-level heat rays from his mouth.
The "Art Scene Model Godzilla (2023) Sea Image ver." is presented in a huge size of approximately 27 cm in length, making the scene of Godzilla surfacing from the sea and attacking ships three-dimensional. The overall shape is delicately sculpted to depict a ferocious head with scars, rough skin texture all over the body, and a very sharp coral-like dorsal fin on the back. Color painting is also applied to express details such as the inside of the mouth. The base uses transparent parts to represent the blue sea surface and create the waves generated when Godzilla moves.
