CAVICO, a model brand launched by Japanese model manufacturer MIMolde, has released a new product under its small-sized model series "ChoiPla"—an "EVANGELION Unit-02" assembly model based on the "Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition" theme. The suggested retail price is 1,870 yen, and it is scheduled to be released in July 2026!
"CAVICO" combines the terms "Cavity" (mother mold) and "Core" (male mold) from the mold-making terminology, symbolizing the craftsmanship of mold making. Its core series, ChoiPla, focuses on easy assembly and mini size, featuring a unique "MeChaCoRo" chibi design with a cute proportion of a big head and small feet. In addition to collaborating with well-known IPs such as "Armored Trooper Votoms," it also commercializes many original works by independent creators!
Following last year's release of " CHOIPLA EVANGELION Unit-01 ", nearly a year later, a new product themed around "Neon Genesis Evangelion" has finally been revealed! This time, the ChoiPla EVA Unit-02 consists of 28 pieces. Despite its small size of approximately 4.8 cm in height, the figure is made in the series' signature proportions, condensing the original cool image into a chibi style, showcasing a cute vibe different from the one in the movie!
Accessories include a double-edged high-particle vibration short sword, an electromagnetic rifle, and an umbilical cable. The model features EV-27 EVA red firing mechanism, allowing toy enthusiasts to showcase their skills and create their own unique Unit-02 color scheme through painting! Furthermore, it can be displayed alongside Unit-01 and the simultaneously released " CHOIPLA EVANGELION Unit-00 (Modified) ," creating a charming scene of them fighting side-by-side!
