"Toho Big Monsters", a monster soft plastic model based on Toho's movie monsters produced by Japan's PLEX and distributed by X-PLUS, announced that the latest product "FAVORITE SCULPTORS LINE King Ghidorah (2001) Fierce Fighting Color Ver. " from the movie "Godzilla Mothra: King Ghidorah Big Monsters Total Attack" is expected to be released in July 2025.
The King Ghidorah that appears in this work is set as the "God of the Sky Wei Nu Luo" recorded in the "Biography of the Guardian Beasts". He sleeps in the underground ice cave of the Fuji Sea of Trees and grows slowly. Legend has it that when he grows into a complete form after sleeping for ten thousand years, he will be the strongest holy beast that dominates the land, sea and air. However, when he awakens this time, he is only in an incomplete state, and it is difficult for him to fight against the extremely destructive god-like Godzilla. Even if Mothra sacrifices herself to allow him to grow into a complete form, his powerful gravitational rays are still absorbed by Godzilla and kill him.
"FAVORITE SCULPTORS LINE King Ghidorah (2001) Fierce Fighting Color Ver." is based on the regular version released in 2017. The overall design was jointly produced by prototype artist Shunsuke Niwa (MONSTER MAKER 28). The majestic size of 48 cm long and 57 cm wide reproduces the awakening posture of the "Millennium Dragon King", and delicately depicts the sharp scales all over the body, the head with the image of Komainu, and the huge spread wings.
Compared to the general version in the past, the color scheme of this fierce battle has changed the original golden color, and it has been re-applied with an old paint with a dirty texture, using dull colors to show the posture of the final battle with Godzilla in Yokohama Port.
