X-Plus is releasing a 1/8 scale plastic model kit of Evangelion Unit-00 pilot, Rei Ayanami.
The kit is based on the fantastical image of him holding the Spear of Longinus under a moonlit night, and is recreated in a vignette style with scenery reminiscent of scenes from the work, such as sheer rocks and rusty faucets. The delicate details of his tight plug suit are also faithfully reproduced.
The color coding is reproduced using the molded color of the parts, and the eyes on the face parts are tampo printed.
