"Godzilla (2003)" is now available from the "Yuji Sakai Modeling Collection," a soft vinyl series sculpted and produced by Yuji Sakai! Pre-orders will begin on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 12:00 PM on Premium Bandai.
This pre-painted, soft vinyl figure is based on the same mold as the garage kit released by Yuji Sakai's 2004 studio. It's inspired by the fierce battle scene between Godzilla and Mothra that unfolded in the city center in Godzilla vs. Mothra vs. Mechagodzilla: Tokyo SOS (released in 2003). Sakai has beautifully recreated Godzilla gazing up at Mothra.
Every detail of Godzilla (2003), including his distinctive neck shape, sharp dorsal fin, and the chest scar he sustained in the previous film, "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla," has been meticulously recreated, resulting in a high level of perfection that makes it seem as if it were a scene from the film. Once again, the original cast model was converted into wax and a master mold was created. The product is molded solely from this master mold, minimizing wear and tear during the soft vinyl production process and focusing on reproducing as much detail as possible.
