The shoulders feature a large ball-type articulation axis!
Unlike conventional shoulder joints, the surface structure around the shoulders can be expressed through the molding, resulting in a particularly beautiful silhouette!
Ball joints are used in the elbows, with an emphasis on the silhouette.
The skirt has been completely redesigned from the previous division method, with a dividing line on the waist belt and a movable waist section. It
also features the same hip swing articulation as figma Yuuka, so you can have her sit down without changing the skirt.

The hair that hangs over the shoulders is made of soft resin, and the molding material is designed to minimize interference with movement.
Using traditional mold-making techniques, such as "Berry-type" molding, it was difficult to achieve nails on a figma-sized figure due to the PVC's shrinkage during hardening.
This was made possible by the widespread adoption of "5-axis cutting" in factories!
What is 5-axis cutting? Roughly speaking, it allows for "3D CAD data to be directly carved into a mold."
This machine allows for precision molding that was previously impossible with traditional Berry-type molding.
Painting the nails (and rings) is a simple process that requires additional labor.
While the wide variety of wrists in figma directly impacts production costs, we have them painted because they are a crucial element.

The checkered skirt pattern, while often a challenge
when it comes to figures that are finished by painting, is surprisingly difficult due to the number of steps and misalignment of the print. This has been a challenge we've faced with every small-scale figma since the 2008 release of figma "Sun Ce Bofu." It's always more difficult than you'd imagine.
(Since the demo master is made to the original size, the grid pattern physically cannot be reproduced as it is in the finished product, which shrinks during the PVC conversion process.)
For UmiMu's skirt, we have devised a way to ensure even higher precision in mass production by 3D scanning the decomas created by our coloring team and then reflecting this in the factory manufacturing data!
This is one of Max Factory and Good Smile's strengths, as we can carry out the entire sculpting, painting, and manufacturing process in-house!
