Following "Wolverine", the well-known poster design and toy company MONDO has once again launched a new product based on the theme of "X-Men '97", the sequel to the classic X-Men animation series "The Psychos", the "Blue Devil" (Nightcrawler) 1/6 scale action figure. The reference retail price is US$245. It is expected to be open for pre-order on the MONDO Shop official website at 11 a.m. Central Time on May 13, 2025, and will be released in December 2025!
Blue Devil first appeared in Giant-Size X-Men #1, published in 1975. His real name is Kurt Wagner. He is a fictional human mutant with the ability to teleport. In early 2000, it was announced that he was the illegitimate son of Azazel and Mystique. Later in 2023, it was revealed that he was actually the child of Mystique who transformed into a male and her wife Destiny.
This 1/6 scale Blue Devil action figure is 10.75 inches (about 27.3 cm) tall and adopts the shape of Blue Devil in "X-Men '97". The carving shows his solid muscle lines and iconic three-fingered hands and feet. There is iron wire inside the long blue tail that can be bent freely for dynamic display. The whole figure is painted with flat painting technique to show the blue highlights on his body and the shadows on his chest, recreating the flat style of the animation!
The accessories include four replacement head sculptures, 4 sets of replacement hands, a tail holding a sword, a BAMF doll for his girlfriend Amanda Sefton, a long sword, two fencing swords, and the "BAMF" special effect produced by teleportation. It can be flexibly and movablely arranged to create various handsome movements in the play!
