INFORMATION
American toy brand MEZCO TOYZ has released a new 1/12 scale action figure from its popular "One:12 Collective" series, themed around DC Comics' "Batman: Year One." The figure, a 1/12 scale action figure, is available for pre-order on the MEZCO website for $116 USD and is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2026.
Batman: Year One is a classic comic book series written by Frank Miller and illustrated by David Mazzucchelli. It was serialized in Batman #404-407 in 1987. The story depicts Bruce Wayne's struggles and growth in fighting crime during his first year as Batman, and also portrays Detective Gordon, who has just been transferred to Gotham City, upholding justice in a corrupt system. It is one of the most representative chapters in the Batman origin story.
This 1/12 scale Batman figure stands approximately 17cm tall and features 30 points of articulation. Made from a composite material including fabric, it recreates the relatively simple suit from the comics. The cape has hidden wires on the sides, allowing for adjustments to its flowing motion to suit different displays. The interchangeable head sculpt includes three different facial expressions and a maskless version of Bruce Wayne, delicately depicting the immense pressure and struggle he endured during his first year as Batman.
The weaponry section includes early experimental equipment such as batarangs, grenades, blowguns, recording devices, and searchlights, along with special effects parts for explosions and smoke. It can be used with seven sets of interchangeable hands and a dedicated stand to flexibly recreate Batman's various poses before he officially became a hero!
