Kotobukiya, a Japanese model manufacturer, has collaborated with illustrator En Morikura to release a new everyday-life anime girl model kit, "Sai Sou Shoujo Garden." The latest addition to their series is "Saotome Rui [Momosakura High School - Competitive Swimsuit] Dreamy White Dolphin," scheduled for release in September 2026.
Rui Saotome is a prince-like girl with a gorgeous appearance and graceful manners, attracting both men and women. She is straightforward, honest, and observant, with excellent athletic ability, but dislikes reading and kissing scenes in movies. Rui appears tomboyish, but also loves collecting all sorts of small and cute things. After meeting the petite and adorable Emma Ishikawa, Rui is captivated by her pursuit of dreams and often goes to visit Emma with her childhood friend, Seira Ichijo, with whom she has a complicated past.
"Saotome Rui [Momosaku High School - Competitive Swimsuit] Dreamy White Dolphin" is based on the standard kit with modified molding colors. The hair parts have been replaced with the same golden yellow as Saeki Ritsuka's , and the skin molding color has been changed to a fairer "Skin Color C," allowing for body swapping with other characters in the same series who have the same skin tone. The swimsuit is reversed to be predominantly white, with complete separate parts and colors for the black and blue blocks, and a smooth, glossy finish to represent the light reflection of the fabric.
Accessories include four pre-painted face parts: a "smiling face," a "mischievous face," a "focused face," and an "injured face," as well as blank face parts and water transfer stickers for creating custom expressions. However, the pupil color has been adjusted to be closer to green. Additionally, there are nine pairs of customizable hands, three pairs of customizable feet, a front hair part for wearing swimming goggles, and a lower body part for a sporty sitting pose, allowing for various poses and scenarios. Furthermore, the exposed back part is available in two options: one without openings for aesthetic purposes, and the other with a 3mm opening for display stands. The connecting part from the collarbone to the neck also comes with specifications matching the "Goddess Device" head.
