Japanese toy company Kenelephant is launching a "Astro Boy Character Model Collection" based on the classic animated series "Astro Boy". It will be released in two forms: boxed toys and gashapon toys. The suggested retail price is 550 yen per box and 500 yen per gashapon toy, respectively. It is scheduled to be released in July 2026!
"Astro Boy" (鉄腕アトム), a manga series created by Japanese manga master Osamu Tezuka, is Tezuka's first long-running serialized work. It tells the story of the android boy "Astro Boy" who is active in the 21st century for the peace and well-being of people. This "Astro Boy Character Figure Collection" brings Astro Boy to life in various poses from the series, including four different figures: "Departure" (taking off), "Forward" (walking), "Dejected" (sitting down looking aggrieved), and "Shy" (looking bashful). The "Departure" and "Forward" figures come with their own special stands for stable display. The four figures arranged in a row are absolutely adorable!
