The world of "Borderlands"
The world of "Borderlands" is set in the steampunk era of the post-apocalyptic era.
In the cycle of civilization collapse and reconstruction, the New European Union (NEU), as a steel power established by the descendants of old Europe, is based in the Alps and rules the world through a network of steam airships.
Its elite airborne force "Raiders" is famous for its iconic crow mask and jetpack. The Rhine 10mm air-cooled rifles it carries have both long-range accuracy and armor-piercing power, and form a three-dimensional combat system with grenades and daggers.
These steel crows cross the steam-filled valleys by airships, and perform airborne raids in the roar of gears. The jet devices they carry can achieve lightning airdrops and short-distance gliding between mountains.
When the steam mechas crush the rock walls and the airship fleet covers the sky, the Raiders spread their steel wings in the roar of high-pressure steam, defending the iron-blooded border of NEU with gunfire and blades.
The "Frontier" World
In a post-apocalyptic steampunk era, the "Frontier" endures cycles of collapse and rebirth. The New European Union (NEU)—Old Europe’s iron-fisted successor—rules via Alpine steam-airship empires. Its elite airborne force, Raidmen, don jetpacks and avian-faced masks, wielding Rhine 10mm air-cooled rifles for lethal precision. Equipped with daggers, grenades, and tactical agility, they strike from steam-choked skies: raiding valleys in gear-grinding drops, skimming mountains on jet-powered glides. When armored mechs crush cliffs and airship armadas eclipse the sun, these steel-winged soldiers ride hissing steam, defending NEU’s borders with blades and bullets—a storm of fire and iron forging their merciless frontier.
