It's been about four months since I last made this same kit, and this time, it was a client's commission. The request was to paint the Godzilla creature parts to resemble Crimson Godzilla. The focus was on Crimson Godzilla's colors, while also adjusting the colors of Unit-01 itself. Using the cracks in the left arm armor and the left palm, I created a flaming palm design, painting the indentations in the cracks to create a burning effect. From the palm to the arm, I used a gradient of bright yellow to dark red to create a layered effect. To complement Crimson Godzilla's intensely flaming effect, Unit-01's mechanical parts were given a more three-dimensional feel, with stronger colors used for both linework and shadows. The mouth also used more color to create a more organic feel, while Godzilla's dark skin was further enhanced with dry-brushing and staining to create a more three-dimensional effect. I'm very happy with the client's ideas, and the resulting product is truly unique. I hope you enjoy it!
