Hot Toys is releasing a new work from the long-running animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, produced by Dave Filoni - Savage Opress, the menacing Sith warrior and brother of Darth Maul! Hot Toys has created an iconic image of the character, not only with a high-fidelity head sculpt with movable eyes, but also with detailed accessories to reproduce the style of multiple periods of the animation, constantly expanding the Star Wars collection!
Savage Opress is a Force-sensitive from Dathomir. During the Clone Wars, he was created as a tool of revenge against Count Dooku in order to avenge Asajj Ventress. After being transformed and strengthened by Matron Talzin, he became an extremely fierce warrior and a subordinate of the magic of the Nightsisters. After several twists and turns, he reunited with his long-lost brother Darth Maul. This brotherhood is not only an impressive story in the Star Wars universe, but also shows the multifaceted and deep character of Savage.
Hot Toys uses exquisite carving techniques to create a 1:6 scale high-fidelity head sculpture based on the design of Savage Opress in the animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars", realistically capturing his threatening and fierce expression and appearance; at the same time, the character's iconic yellow skin and black tattoos covering the entire face are reproduced with delicate painting technology; the eyeball design restores the character's daunting bright orange irises, and is equipped with movable eyeball technology to restore Savage's growing anger by adjusting the angle of vision. The
newly developed doll body is about 34cm tall and has more than 30 movable joints throughout the body. While shaping Savage's broad chest and burly figure in appearance, it can also be placed to restore multiple agile and flexible fighting postures; 3 pairs of yellow-shaped palms are attached to reproduce the details of his claws.
In terms of clothing design, the Hot Toys team carefully cut and sewed a set of close-fitting clothes, dark vests, cloth skirts and belts printed with tribal emblems; the armor is decorated with detailed aging marks to enrich the layers, making the overall shape domineering.
The doll is equipped with a variety of weapons and equipment, including: a luminous LED double-edged red lightsaber, a dynamic lightsaber blade assembly, a lightsaber handle that can be hung on the waist, and a spear, to interpret the character's diverse fighting style.
The most surprising thing is that the team has sincerely made a precision-designed mechanical left arm with movable joints, as well as three replaceable mechanical palms, to restore the shape of Savage's left hand being cut off during the battle with Obi-Wan in the fifth season of the animation and then equipped with a mechanical arm, allowing the classic scene to reappear!
