(April 17, 2025) The "Batman Trilogy" directed by Christopher Nolan is hailed as a classic in film history. It not only re-examines the story behind Batman's mask, but also subverts the narrative structure and character depth of superhero movies. The villain "Scarecrow", who first appeared in "Batman Begins" in 2005, was brilliantly performed by Oscar winner Cillian Murphy, who changed the established villain image with his ever-changing expression changes and the madness of manipulating fear. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the movie, Hot Toys (www.hottoys.com.hk) has launched the Scarecrow 1:6 scale collectible doll 2.0 version with exquisite craftsmanship, recreating the classic popular villain and paying tribute to Cillian Murphy's subversive villain debut!
Hot Toys has ingeniously created three new head sculptures and equipped them with independent movable eyeball technology, allowing collectors to freely change the shape and adjust the direction of sight, interpreting the multiple emotions and psychological states of "Scarecrow". The first character head sculpture truly restores the three-dimensional facial features of actor Cillian Murphy - the iconic thin face, pale skin and ice-blue pupils, accurately capturing his calm and gloomy charm; the second is a classic sack-shaped head sculpture, which presents the rough fiber texture of the mask, delicate stitching and hemp rope knots through multi-layered aging paint, and the hollow eyes reveal a chilling look; the third is a fear mask version crawling with insects, with insect details attached to the surface of the worn linen, as if the nightmare is materialized, revealing the crazy inner world of the character.
This doll uses a new body to restore Cillian Murphy's slender figure, about 30cm tall, equipped with 30 movable joints. The clothing restores the movie suit shape: a full set of dark gray suits, a white straight-grained shirt, a dark blue tie and black shoes. Through careful tailoring and fabric selection, the texture and realism of the suit are restored. In terms of accessories, in addition to providing an additional handheld hollow burlap bag mask, the character's iconic items as a psychologist are carefully collected: including glasses, watches, visitor cards, a poison release device that can be worn on the waist, poison smoke effects, lighters, flashlights, etc., which can be stored in a delicate briefcase that can be opened and closed. Together with a variety of interchangeable palms and a specially designed city sewer scene platform, collectors can freely reproduce classic moments in the movie and bring the shadow of fear in Gotham City back to the focus of the collection cabinet!
All three head sculptures and accessories were carved and produced by Mille Studios.
