In the futuristic Detroit of RoboCop (1987), the corporate force OCP attempts to take over the city's law enforcement in a more efficient and forceful manner. ED-209, a fully automated law enforcement robot, was born in this context. Designed as the ultimate solution to replace human police, it is equipped with heavy weaponry and ruthless tactical logic, responsible for high-pressure suppression and deterrence in public areas. However, this immature artificial intelligence system reveals a fatal flaw—under its out-of-control judgment mechanism, ED-209's "law enforcement" quickly devolves into unstoppable violence, becoming one of Detroit's most symbolic mechanical nightmares.
