Hasbro, a well-known American toy brand, has released high-priced, large-scale collectibles through crowdfunding projects. At the just-concluded annual San Diego Comic Convention (SDCC), Hasbro’s HasLab division unveiled its latest crowdfunding project for its Star Wars-themed 3.75-inch toy series "The Vintage Collection" at the San Diego Comic Convention (SDCC). The project is a 3.75-inch action figure scale model of the "LAAT/i Gunship" with a fundraising plan of US$449.99. The project has now started on the HasLab page of the Hasbro Pulse official website and will last until September 8, 2025 at 11:59 pm Eastern Time. At least 8,000 supporters are needed to complete the basic proposal, and it is expected to ship in the fall of 2026!
The Low Altitude Assault Transport/infantry Gunship (LAAT/i Gunship) was the Republic's primary air support and troop transport vessel during the Clone Wars. Its primary missions included transporting clone troops to the battlefield and providing air-to-ground and air-to-air fire support. It could carry a full platoon of thirty clones in its main cabin. Designed for low-altitude flight within a planet's atmosphere, it had considerable advantages in dogfighting at altitudes below mountain ranges.
This Infantry Low-Altitude Assault Transport craft, a collaboration between the HasLab team and Lucasfilm, is an upgraded version of the previously released model. Measuring 73cm long, 78.5cm wide, and 26.9cm high, it perfectly replicates the film's proportions. Even standing upright, a 3.75-inch clone trooper can fit inside without hitting the ceiling! The team meticulously recreated the original design, meticulously recreating every detail, including the piping, panels, and mottled casing. A variety of replacement parts are included, allowing you to recreate the Infantry Low-Altitude Assault Transport craft from different factions!
The fuselage is equipped with two roof-mounted missile launchers, each containing nine removable missiles. Four removable missiles are located under each wing, snapping into position with the wing-mounted rotating cannons. Even without firing, the craft still boasts formidable firepower! The front cockpit canopy opens to accommodate two minifigures, and hidden storage is located in the roof behind the cockpit. The two front bubble turrets can each accommodate a minifigure. The rear cargo hold side panels open to reveal three movable laser cannons, allowing for ample clone troopers to be deployed, increasing the transport's combat power!
The figures include two clone pilots of the Infantry-type Low-Altitude Assault Transport. These figures, updated from the previous Republic Gunship version, feature a recreated design with helmet wiring extending to the chest control box. The helmet's insignia is repainted and each comes with a DC-15S Medium Blaster Rifle and a DC-15A Large Blaster Rifle. For Star Wars elevator collectors, don't worry; these two pilots will be packaged separately and in separate elevators for perfect display!
This time, the campaign will also unlock different levels of 3.75-inch action figure hanging tags based on the number of backers who reach certain funding targets. 10,000 backers will receive a Vurk Jedi Master "Coleman Trebor" (commonly known as the Jedi Dinosaur); 12,000 backers will receive an Iktotchi Jedi Master "Saesee Tiin"; and 14,000 backers will receive an Iridonian Jedi Master "Agen Kolar." This time, you'll definitely want to buy a large number of classic collectible clone troopers and pair them with multiple Jedi Masters to create a magnificent battle scene!
