Hachette Collections Japan will be releasing "City Hunter: Build a Mini Cooper" on Wednesday, August 20, 2025! By assembling the parts included in each issue, you can create a 1/8 scale (total length 38 cm) large model of the "Morris Mini Cooper 1275S Mk-I" and figures of the main characters, including the original "1/8 scale Ryo Saeba figure."
"City Hunter" is a masterpiece by Hojo Tsukasa that still remains timeless to this day!
"City Hunter" is a hard-boiled action and comedy manga by Hojo Tsukasa that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 1985 to 1991 and is still hugely popular, celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2025. The main character, Saeba Ryo, is the number one sweeper in the underworld with top-notch shooting skills, but has a weakness for beautiful women. His partner, Makimura Kaori, trusts Ryo deeply, but punishes him with her fists when he messes with beautiful women. The two, bound by a strong bond, take on difficult cases that the police and the law cannot solve...
The "Morris Mini Cooper 1275S Mk-I" customized by Ryo in the film is used to great effect, making full use of its distinctive functions. The form of the car as seen in the film has been faithfully recreated in 1/8 scale.
We researched the actual car and faithfully reproduced every detail!
The precious real car "Morris Mini Cooper 1275S Mk-I" was thoroughly researched and the interior and engine room were recreated in detail. The bonnet and trunk lid are movable just like the real car. It also comes with sound gimmicks such as engine sounds.

All the lights are warm white LEDs, allowing you to fully experience the classic atmosphere of the model "Morris Mini Cooper 1275S Mk-I". All the lights, including the headlights, rear brake lights, turn signals, hazard lights, and interior lights, can be turned on and off with a special remote control.
Headlights and combination lamps light up just like the real car.
The interior light is small but emits a classic incandescent light.
The blinking indicator lever, one of the distinctive features of the Mk-I, is also faithfully reproduced.
