GOODSMILECOMPANY, a Japanese company known for its Nendoroid series with over a thousand characters, is releasing a new blind box product based on the "Surprise Nendoroids" blind box series – the "Surprise Nendoroid Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition" blind box. The suggested retail price for a single box is 1,800 yen, and it is scheduled for release in June 2026.
This "Surprise Nendoroid Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition" toy features two popular female characters—Asuka and Rei Ayanami—as miniature Nendoroid figures, each approximately 7 cm tall. It includes three versions of each character: Rei Ayanami's combat suit, Rei Ayanami's uniform, Rei Ayanami's long hair, Asuka Ayanami's combat suit, Asuka Ayanami's uniform, and Shikinami Asuka Langley Sneakers. There are a total of six different designs for each character!
Each box includes an A-frame transparent stand and one randomly selected themed accessory. There are 18 different designs, including Mini Angels, the Nerv symbol, Gendo Ikari's glasses, the Spear of Longinus, and the Spear of Cassius. Toy collectors can try their luck to collect them and display them with Asuka and Rei!
