A new genre "Vignette Collection" has appeared from Fine Molds, which has modeled many airplanes and robots that appear in Studio Ghibli works! A vignette (small diorama) that vividly expresses the character with the scene in the play as a motif is realized with an assembly kit. Kaiyodo, a pioneer in figure production, participated in the development of this series. It is a series that is perfect for both topicality and quality, realized by the collaboration of two major manufacturers, Fine Mold and Kaiyodo, which boast a wealth of experience and technical capabilities.
The first installment of the "Studio Ghibli Vignette Collection" series is the "Ajito no Pig", which is based on the image of the opening scene from "Porco Rosso", which celebrates its 30th anniversary in theaters this year (2023). Porco" is here! Contrary to Porco Rosso's reluctance to accept the request from Porco Rosso, who receives a phone call at his hideout announcing the arrival of the air pirates, the scene where preparations for sortieing have already been made turns into a splendid flight scene and an exhilarating air battle scene after this. Prototype production is handled by Masahiko Kagawa, who has created a diorama capsule toy with his own world view at Kaiyodo and has many fans. The prototype made with handmade sculpture by Mr. is digitally processed into a mold and made into an assembly kit. An assembly kit that combines Fine Mold and Kaiyodo's technology to fully enjoy the real thrill of a plastic model that is fun to assemble and decorate.
The package is designed with the same image as Fine Mold's "Porco Rosso" series that has been released so far. The stylish design is reminiscent of Italy.
