the commander-in-chief of Liaodong in the Ming Dynasty
Born in Tieling, Liaodong (now Tieling, Liaoning), and was a famous general in the late Ming Dynasty.
In the early Wanli period, Jurchen chiefs Wang Gao and Zi'atai tribe in Jianzhou were destroyed, Tuman chief of the Han tribe and chief Su Bahai of the Taining tribe were defeated several times; Qing Jiani and Yang Jipi chiefs of the Yehe tribe in Haixi were killed. Li Chengliang has general talent. During the entire Ming Dynasty, when the generals were greedy and cowardly, and the border preparations were slack, during the 30 years of guarding Liaodong, ten of them led the Liaodong iron cavalry to achieve great victories. The martial arts of the border commanders were unprecedented in 200 years.
