INFORMATION
Dark Horse Direct, the collectibles brand of Dark Horse Comics, has released a new full-body statue of Mizu, based on the American-French adult anime "Blue Eye Samurai ." The statue is expected to begin shipping in the second quarter of 2026, with a suggested retail price of $224.99 USD and a limited edition of 500.
"Blue-Eyed Samurai" was created and written by husband-and-wife team Michael Green and Amber Noizumi, directed by Jane Wu, and adapted by Blue Spirit. Set in Japan during the Edo period, during the period of isolation, the protagonist, "Mizu," is a mixed-race girl with blue eyes. At the time, Mizu, with her foreign blood, was frowned upon and even called a demon. After her mother, to whom she had been dependent, dies in a fire, Mizu resolves to personally wield her sword and slay the man who betrayed her, embarking on a path of revenge. "Blue-Eyed Samurai" boasts stunning visuals and thrilling combat, making it a must-see for action-packed toy figures!
Dark Horse Direct's "Water" statue is approximately 10 inches (25.4 cm) tall and is based on the main promotional visual and the scene of her battle against The Four Fangs. It recreates the traditional bamboo hat on her head, the dark blue-themed clothing, and the black-framed glasses with orange lenses to block her blue pupils. Her sharp eyes are very well-placed. The unsheathed samurai sword not only presents sharp lines, but the carvings on the blade are also exquisitely restored. The base realistically depicts the texture of the rock, and creates dynamic waves around it.
