GODZILLA ROOM, the IP management division of Toho's "Godzilla" franchise, has released the latest "DESKTOP MONSTER" merchandise from the film "Godzilla: The Original Godzilla. " The "Godzilla (2016) Phone Holder" and "Godzilla (2016) Phone Holder Radiation Heat Line Ver." are part of the new "DESKTOP MONSTER" merchandise line. The standard edition is now available in Japan, while the Radiation Heat Line version is scheduled to launch in October 2025.
The Godzilla that appears in the film "Godzilla" was designed by director Hideaki Anno , designer Mahiro Maeda , and prototype artist Takashi Takeya . He is a gigantic "perfect organism" capable of rapid and unfettered evolution and degeneration, adapting rapidly to his environment. He underwent several evolutionary changes within hours of landing in Japan. He possesses a "thermonuclear energy conversion organ" that seemingly generates immense energy and releases radioactive material without the need for food. In the film, after being attacked by US bombers, he awakens, emitting heat rays from his mouth that instantly engulf the bustling streets of Tokyo in flames, completely beyond human understanding.
The DESKTOP MONSTER Godzilla (2016) Phone Stand, including the base, stands approximately 17 cm tall. Its striking design and coloring create a terrifying head, extremely short forelimbs, and a massive, sturdy tail. The Heat Ray version features a different head and tail, along with a purple paint job, depicting a terrifying pose with both head and tail emitting heat rays and a wide-open mouth. Both stands secure your phone between the base protrusion and Godzilla's main body.
