Plants wither, most organisms become extinct, and cities become ruins. Some huge mysterious energy rings appear in various parts of the world. These "rings" can prevent the loss of life. The surviving humans gather around the "rings" to build cities. Some mysterious mechanical creatures are born in the life forbidden area outside the "ring". Their life cycle is very short and they are constantly evolving. The small energy rings in the mechanical life can keep the surrounding organic life alive in the biological forbidden area before they go out.
