Figure manufacturer CCP JAPAN has released the "1/6 Special Effects Series Vol. 114 Ultraman (Type C) Entry Pose Ver.", a soft vinyl reproduction of Ultra Raman (Type C) from the popular special effects series "Ultraman." Preorders will begin at hobby shops, mass retailers, and online stores nationwide.
Ultraman is finally joining the 1/6 scale special effects series with a completely new design! The figure is based on the pose he takes on Woo in episode 30 of "Ultraman," "The Phantom Snow Mountain," and has been meticulously sculpted down to the smallest detail.
▲In episodes 30 and 31, the C-type suit made its first appearance, and so the boots were reused from the B-type in the appearance pose, but in this work, the C-type suit is being made into a three-dimensional figure, so the boots are sculpted as C-type.
The figure was created by suit actor Satoshi Furuya, and the balance of the entire body has been carefully considered to recreate Ultraman. The silhouette also shows that he has very long legs and a slender build. Even when looking at footage and photos from that time, the original Ultraman has even longer legs, and you can see this difference with the figure. The sagging and wrinkles in the suit that occur when a person is inside have also been meticulously recreated!
The fact that the left leg is slightly forward is also a reference to when he first appeared in episode 30. Ultraman suits are classified into many different types depending on the time of filming, but they are generally divided into A, B, and C types. This product is modeled after the suit classified as "Type C," which can be said to be the final form of Ultraman from the later period.
Of course, the Ultraman mask, which is the heart of the figure, has also been thoroughly recreated with a completely new design! It is more similar to the real mask than previous Ultraman figures. The slit in the left ear and the small hole in the right ear that were on the original mask have also been recreated!
The shape of the gloves, which are said to have been made by layering surgical gloves, is also reproduced. Unlike the thick gloves used in Ultra Seven and other similar items, it can be seen that they are made of a thin material.
The figure has been carefully crafted down to the wrinkles and textures all over its body, allowing you to feel the tension in the suit when the arms are raised, and the surface of the suit deteriorating. This work has been finished with no compromises, not only in the shape but also in the coloring. The coloring has been completely changed from previous models, with the base color being a whitish silver to enhance the accuracy of reproduction. Furthermore, highlights, shadows, and dirtiness have been added to create a realistic finish.
The eyes are made of clear material and painted from the inside, allowing you to enjoy the subtle glow of Ultraman's eyes. Enjoy this new Ultraman, crafted with the utmost care, in your hands.
