This piece is the second piece in the Bronze Age series, and it is inspired by a good woman owl. Fuhao Owl Zun, a wine container more than 3,000 years ago, records the first female general and politician in Chinese history-Fuhao's heroic military exploits and her love story. As the third wife of Wu Ding, the 23rd monarch of the Shang Dynasty, Wu Hao was ordered to fight on the battlefield many times and made great contributions to the expansion of the territory of the Shang Dynasty. To Wuding, a wife is not only a spouse, but also a warrior, minister and confidant. Because of this, Wu Hao was very much loved by Wu Ding, and Wu Ding even violated the patriarchal system to abolish the elders and raise their children, and wanted to make a good son Zujia the prince. However, Wu Hao passed away at the age of 33. Compared to her husband Wu Ding, who had lived in the country for 59 years, the life of the wife was too short. Wu Ding's death made Wu Ding very sad. Wu Ding buried her next to the palace where he handled military and political affairs, hoping to see his wife at any time and guard her day and night. Even so, Wu Ding still felt that the guard was not enough to reach the netherworld. As a result, Wu Ding led his children and grandchildren to hold several large-scale sacrifices for the wife, and held several implied marriages for the wife. Only when her ghost was betrothed to the care of three pre-shang kings, she was relieved. Since then, whenever Wu Ding sent troops to fight, she would hold a sacrifice for the good of women, and ask her to bless the war smoothly in the spirit of heaven. This shows that Wu Ding’s good affection for women.
Design ideas
In ancient China, the owl was the most loved and worshipped divine bird. The owl's nature and ability to strike and strike at night naturally make it a symbol of the "God of War". As a figure who was able to conquer wars and made great contributions to the Shang Dynasty, Wu Hao undoubtedly had the qualifications to be an "owl". Therefore, when designing the "Xiao Zun", in addition to adding the bronze elements of the woman owl zun, we also deliberately highlighted her ruthlessness as a "God of War"-sharp eyes and arrogance in the personal image of Xiao Zun. Her hair bun, complemented by her pale skin with a hint of blood red, symbolizes her ruthless battle on the battlefield.
