Albatross Japan's online shop, the Earth Defense Force Secret Base, is now selling a pre-painted, finished Ultraman figure from the 2022 film "Shin Ultraman"! It comes in a set of two figures: the regular version and the energy-consumed version that appeared in the film!
Ultraman will be commercialized as a set of two figures, one in his normal red form and one in his green form when his energy is depleted! It is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2025.
It faithfully reproduces the appearance of the "Shin Ultraman" version, with a fairly slender figure and no Color Timer on his chest. It is three-dimensionalized in a pose with both hands on his hips, reminiscent of the prototype of the original Ultraman.
The exquisite design, which combines the divinity of a transcendent being with a sense of otherness that is not of this earth, has been brought to life in three dimensions by sculptor Hiroshi Matsuo, standing approximately 17 cm tall!
The texture of the body surface, which exudes a sense of sensuality, has been recreated through the coloring by sculptor Toru Saegusa.
This is a version that recreates the appearance when the body color changes after exceeding the time limit for activity on land.
In terms of meaning, it visualizes a pinch state, just like the TV version of Ultraman's "color timer changes color and flashes." The green color is a fresh look.
This two-piece set allows you to pose the two figures side by side, something that was impossible in the original story!
