From Tsuburaya Productions' special effects series "Denkou Choujin Gridman," Gridman combines with God Zenon to create Thunder Gridman, now available in the "SHFiguarts (Real Bone Carving Method)" series! Based on the body scan data of the suit actor at the time, Hiroyuki Okano, the figure was sculpted based on his physique and skeleton, thoroughly recreating the proportions of Thunder Gridman. A sense of authenticity was pursued with the cooperation and supervision of Tsuburaya Productions' modeling division, LSS, and Takafumi Kanbuchi, who was in charge of creating Thunder Gridman's suit at the time. In order to recreate the appeal of the Thunder Gridman suit, which was produced using various special effects techniques at the time, two approaches, "sculpting" and "tampo printing," were used to recreate the details.
Soft parts are used in parts of the torso, and by adding extension gimmicks to the shoulders and hip joints, it is possible to recreate poses that evoke the image in the movie. The leg armor is also partially movable, improving ground contact.
The figure includes effect parts for the Thunder Grid Beam used by Thunder Gridman in the film. It also includes a set of support parts for recreating the drill break. By removing the drills on both shoulders, you can recreate scenes from the film. As an original gimmick for this item, it also comes with two sets of interchangeable wrist parts (one for each side) that can hold the plasma blade and barrier shield that come with the separately sold "SHFiguarts (Real Bone Carving Method) Gridman." Some parts are also detachable, so by combining it with the separately sold "SHFiguarts (Real Bone Carving Method) Gridman," you can create a display that recreates the combination sequence from the film.
