BANDAI SPIRITS' collectible toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, has announced a new addition to its "ROBOT Spirits" series of action figure models, featuring the animated film "Mobile Suit Gundam Flash Hathaway": "ROBOT Spirits (Ka signature) Penalope [Re:Coordinate]" . The new model is scheduled for release in July 2026.
The RX-104 Odysseus Gundam is a prototype mobile suit newly developed by AE for the Earth Federation Forces, and is also a sister unit to the "RX-105 Ξ Gundam". This machine was built with additional equipment; when equipped with the "Fixed Flight Components", it can form the "RX-104FF Penalope" . The massive "Fixed Flight Components" are equipped with a miniaturized Minovsky flight system and a drag-reducing beam shield, allowing it to exhibit supersonic flight capabilities in flight mode. Furthermore, it is equipped with ambient-use sensor missiles, a high-output beam rifle, and a composite weapon component that simultaneously possesses a MEGA particle cannon, missiles, and a beam saber. Its size, mobility, and firepower are monstrous.
"ROBOT Spirits (Ka signature) Penalope [Re:Coordinate]" is a modified version of the previously released standard version . It was also thoroughly supervised by mechanical designer KATOKI HAJIME. Based on the night battle scene in the TV series "Hassawi's Flash", the paint scheme of the entire machine was readjusted. The white parts of the entire machine were changed to a cool-toned white, and the hexagonal blocks on the armor were painted with a pearl color with a metallic sheen. Combined with the original body markings of each part, the density of details was further enhanced.
This product recreates the separation and combination mechanism of the Odysseus Gundam and the fixed flight component. After separation, each part can be played with and displayed independently. The fixed flight component can even be combined with the separately sold " ROBOT Spirit (Ka signature) Ξ Gundam (Hasaway Ver.) " to form an original form. In the combined Penalope form, it can transform into flight mode without the need for replacement parts.
In Penalope form, the opening and closing mechanism of the chest air intake and the mechanical arm hidden behind the waist are reproduced. The mechanical arm can grab energy magazines to replace the beam rifle. The sensor missile launch port on the front skirt armor is also detailed. The attached "beam rifle" can be equipped with two types of energy magazines: one for rapid fire and one for single-shot high-power. The "composite weapon components" mounted on the arms have a MEGA particle cannon deployment mechanism, a missile bay cover deployment mechanism, and beam saber effects.
