To celebrate MegaHouse's "Portrait.Of.Pirates" figure series of "ONE PIECE" characters reaching over 5 million units shipped worldwide, a long-awaited figure of Monkey D. Luffy in "Gear 2" form has been released! Pre-orders for this item will begin at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Premium Bandai and other outlets. Dengeki Hobby will be showcasing the appeal of this item through photos taken by the brand.
"Gear 2" is the first evolutionary form that was first shown when facing CP9 in the Enies Lobby arc, along with the determination to protect his allies from the powerful enemies that would appear in the future. The figure has been carefully sculpted to recreate the steam that erupts from his entire body as a result of using his legs as a pump to increase the speed of blood flow. Also not to be missed are the reddish body, as well as the depiction of his powerful arms.
The delicate gradation paint applied to the steam creates a sense of dynamism in the figure. Even from behind, you can sense Luffy's determination and power. The Enies Lobby-inspired base also enhances the figure's atmosphere, and the texture of the leather on his pants is also carefully crafted.
When Luffy's precious friend Nico Robin is kidnapped by CP9 in Water Seven, he heads to Enies Lobby, one of the centers of the World Government, to bring her back. His fierce expression, so typical of Luffy, shows his determination to fight any enemy for his friends, and it's just too cool! The straw hat that Shanks entrusted to him is also realistically reproduced.
The price of this item is 22,000 yen (tax included), a reference to "Gear 2."
