The "Movie Monster Series" is a series of soft vinyl figures that feature realistic sculpting and coloring of monsters from past Godzilla films. The second release in the "Kagayaki" series, which is equipped with an LED light-up gimmick, is the "Movie Monster Series Koukou Kiryu Type 3 (2002) Absolute Zero ver." Pre-orders will begin at 4:00 PM on Friday, April 18, 2025 on the Bandai Namco Group's official online store, Premium Bandai.
This product is based on the "Type 3 Kiryu" that appeared in the 2002 movie "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla," and recreates the pose of the scene where it fires its special move, "Absolute Zero." The eyes of the Type 3 Kiryu and the launcher of Absolute Zero light up.
By removing the torso of the figure, you can store the included LED unit inside. When you set the LED unit on the figure, the "Absolute Zero launch port" on the figure's chest will light up brilliantly!
The light-up gimmick has been improved upon from the first release ("Movie Monster Series Brilliant Light Burning Godzilla" *Pre-orders closed), and by incorporating a structure that extends light-guiding pillars from the head part, it is now possible to make the eyes glow.
The design of the Type 3 Kiryu has been completely renewed from the previously released "Movie Monster Series Mechagodzilla (2002) *sold separately." The level of reproduction has been improved by combining hollow soft vinyl parts with injection molded parts, and even the finest details are expressed. The coloring of each part has also been completely updated, with the entire figure painted in a metallic silver. This is a luxurious specification that can only be achieved with a limited edition product.
