Bandai Toys, Inc. of Japan has announced that the latest product in its popular tokusatsu and monster-themed soft vinyl toy series, " MOVIE MONSTER : The Movie Monster," based on the movie "Godzilla vs. Biollanti," will be released on March 14, 2025.
The popular monster Biollante appeared in the 1989 film *Godzilla vs. Biollante*. It is one of the few monsters in the Godzilla series created by an artificial accident, and also the largest and most heavily manned monster. In the film, Dr. Genichiro Shiragami , a leading authority on genetic engineering, combined his deceased daughter Erika's cells with her favorite rose in an attempt to achieve genetic immortality. When the experiment failed and the rose was on the verge of withering, Godzilla's "G cells," possessing self-regenerative capabilities, were added. This caused the rose to begin evolving, eventually becoming the ferocious plant-beast "Biollante," which is 120 meters long.
The new product line , "Xihua," combines the meaning of gorgeous colors with the homonym of GIGA (giant). The newly released "Bioranti" adopts a similar proportion to "Movie Monster Godzilla (1989)," boasting a powerful size of approximately 39 centimeters in length. Furthermore, the color scheme utilizes areas that cannot be represented in standard Movie Monster products, employing a gradient of orange-red tones to recreate the luminous texture of the core's abdomen.
