INFORMATION
The Pokémon PLAMO series, produced by the Hobby division of BANDAI SPIRITS, will release its latest product, "Pokémon PLAMO Collection 61: Mega Rayquaza," on December 20, 2025. The official website has also released new information, including box art and images of the actual product, ahead of the release.
Rayquaza is a legendary Pokémon that appears in the Hoenn region and is also the cover legendary Pokémon of Pokémon Emerald. Rayquaza possesses devastating power and an extremely strong territorial presence. It usually inhabits the ozone layer, which is higher than the clouds, and uses a special organ called the "Emperor Organ" to absorb energy from meteorites for food. In very rare cases, Rayquaza can use the meteorite energy within its body to perform "Mega Evolution" instead of a Mega Stone, gaining even greater power.
The "Pokémon PLAMO Collection 61: Mega Rayquaza" is constructed using molded parts in green, black, yellow, white, and clear red, resulting in a total length exceeding 30 cm, making it the largest in the series' history. The overall design faithfully recreates the image from the concept art, featuring a head with large jaws, jewel-like organs on the body, and long tentacles extending from the head and tail. The mouth, arms, and body segments have articulated joints, allowing for stylish flight poses when paired with the cloud-shaped base.
