GUNDAM BASE, the official Gunpla flagship store for Mobile Suit Gundam in Japan, has officially announced details of the latest event-limited product from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY, "MGEX 1/100 Attack Free Gundam [TWILIGHT COATING]" , which will be available for sale at various stores starting December 13, 2025.
The ZGMF-X20A Attack Free Gundam is a mobile suit piloted by the protagonist , Kira Yamato , in the anime series *Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY* . It is equipped with a super-powerful deuterium engine that generates a large amount of energy, allowing it to be armed with a large number of high-powered beam weapons, including a high-output beam rifle, the Sailfish Type 3 railgun, and the Peregrine Phased Beam Cannon. It even features "Super DRAGOON" mobile armor wings on its back, enabling it to launch all-around attacks using eight beam assault cannons on its left and right sides. Combined with Kira's Super Coordinator ability, it can simultaneously lock onto a large number of enemy aircraft.
The "MGEX 1/100 Attack Free Gundam [TWILIGHT COATING]" is a modified version of the previously released standard kit. The entire machine is made with special coated parts, giving most of the frame and outer armor a flawless white porcelain color. The original gold-plated parts have been replaced with silver-plated parts with a blue tint, giving the machine an elegant and unique color tone like ice and snow.
Based on the information released so far, the specifications of the figure are the same as the standard version, except for the color scheme. It inherits the articulation technology developed from the MG and RG series, featuring a flexible three-section articulation axis for the neck, independent articulation axes for the forearms and forefeet, and linked armor mechanisms for the waist and legs, making the movements more natural. The skirt armor, shoulder armor, thrusters behind the lower legs, and "Super Dragoon" mobile armor wings have even more exaggerated armor deployment mechanisms.
