The popular "METAL BUILD" series of alloy toys released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectible toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS , has officially announced that the latest product "Power Pulse Gundam" from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY" is expected to be released in March 2026.
The ZGMF-X56S Pulse Gundam, piloted by Shin Asuka in the series, is a cutting-edge model from the "Second Generation Series" developed under the leadership of PLANT Chairman Gilbert Turandot . While restricted by the Junius Treaty and unable to utilize a nuclear engine, its advanced deuterium beam power system still provides stable energy. The "Phantom System," a new mode change mechanism inspired by the Strike Gundam's Attacker backpack, allows drones to transport equipment to the battlefield, allowing users to switch modes without returning to the mothership. The most versatile "Power" mode features a highly maneuverable back-mounted booster pack, allowing for exceptional flight capabilities both in outer space and within the atmosphere.

The design was supervised by Satoshi Shigeta , the mechanical animation director of "Gundam SEED DESTINY" , and was redesigned by the team of Yoichi Sakamoto, Koma, and Hiroyuki Hirose, who were previously responsible for the development of popular products such as "Strike Freedom Gundam" and "Freedom Gundam CONCEPT 2" . The movable frame parts are made of alloy materials, and the outer armor parts have a hard texture like weapons and precise details. They are also painted with extremely heavy colors and rich body logo printing, bringing a sharp and handsome shape.
The most notable feature of this model is its alloy frame, which combines flexible body articulation with the original design's separation, transformation, and fusion mechanism. The Powerful Pulse Gundam can separate into four units: a core shuttle, chest vehicle, leg vehicle, and powerful external equipment , each transforming into its own flight mode. The connecting parts are also made of alloy to ensure durability during fusion.
The weaponry includes a high-energy beam rifle, a mobile shield, a folding anti-armor sword, a "Sword in the Stone" laser anti-ship sword, a diamond-shaped beam saber, etc. The mobile shield can reproduce the deployed form through a telescopic mechanism, the folding anti-armor sword can be stored in the side skirts, and the "Sword in the Stone" laser anti-ship sword has an original blade retractable mechanism.
