GUNDAM BASE, the official Gunpla flagship store of Japan's "Mobile Suit Gundam", announced that the latest limited product from "Mobile Suit Z Gundam", "HG 1/144 Z Gundam [UC0088] (Biochemical Sensor Color)", is expected to go on sale in the store from April 19, 2025.
The MSZ-006 Z Gundam is a next-generation transformable MS developed by Yugu using the movable frame technology of the cutting-edge machine "RX-178 Gundam MK-II" manufactured by Titans. It has the high rigidity of Gundam Alloy γ material. The machine is equipped with lightweight armor, beam rifles, beam sabers, grenade launchers with multiple types of warheads, and a simple brainwave conduction device called "biochemical sensor", which allows the new human pilot to use brainwaves to assist in driving the machine to improve performance. When fully utilized, it can generate incredible powers such as strengthening beam weapons, forming shields, and stopping enemy aircraft.
The "HG 1/144 Z Gundam [UC0088] (Biosensor Color)" launched this time uses the regular version kit released in 2018. At that time, it was modified from the Gundam 40th Anniversary Project " HG 1/144 Z Gundam (GUNPLA EVOLUTION PROJECT) ", and uses many new parts to make the head, body, wrists, skirt armor, leg armor, flight armor and other parts to reproduce the appearance of the later type that appeared in the late "Z" to early "ZZ". The red part on the outer edge of the back flight armor also has independent parts. The overall parts molding color has been greatly changed, using a variety of metal molding colors to express the posture of the entire machine emitting red light after the biochemical sensor is activated in the play.
The rest of the model is the same as the regular version, with flexible movable joints that allow for cool moves, and the "Wave Rider" form can be reproduced by replacing parts.
