Bandai Candy, the popular assembly model candy toy series from Bandai's Candy Toys division, has announced detailed information on its latest product , "Geksou Combined RV Robot, " based on the tokusatsu series "Geksou Sentai Karranger."
RV Robots are giant robots formed by the "Gekzoku Fusion" of five RV-type combat vehicles (red, blue, green, yellow, and pink) piloted by the five Carrangers in the series. They are used to fight against the gigantic space biker tribe "Bosoko." RV Robots not only possess immense strength, but their various flashy moves also incorporate the style of high-speed vehicle movement. They can glide at high speeds on land, unleashing powerful kicks with their legs, or unleash their ultimate attack, the "RV Sword Gekzoku Slash," while wielding the RV Sword and spinning at high speed.
The "SMP Gekkai Combined RV Robot" collection includes all five RV models, the "Ranger Vehicles," featuring a wealth of molded parts, precise styling, and color-correcting stickers to recreate the cool vehicle exteriors. It also faithfully reproduces the combining mechanism from the anime. Once combined, not only are the proportions and details on the front excellent, but the black areas on the underside of the vehicle also feature richly detailed styling.
Made using modern new technology, the product features a flexible and articulated design that was lacking in DX toys at the time. It includes pull-out structures for the shoulder joints, hip joints, and ankles to expand the range of motion. It can be used with weapons such as the "RV Sword" and "Radial Shield" to play with dynamic combat poses. It can even recreate the high-speed running posture when performing the "Gale Slash" and the cool kneeling posture after the move is completed.
In addition, a new mechanism has been added to the joint of the two thighs, with two latches: "TV version standing pose/posable" and "DX toy standing pose". When attached to the "DX toy standing pose", it can express the retro toy standing pose with the center axis of the lower leg shifted outward.
