Figuarts mini, a low-profile character model brand published by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectible toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, will launch two new products based on the popular anime "SAKAMOTO DAYS" - "Sakamoto Taro" and "Asakura Arata" action figures. The reference retail price is 3,520 yen each and is expected to be released in July 2025!
"SAKAMOTO DAYS" is a work by cartoonist Yuto Suzuki that began serialization in the weekly "Weekly Shonen Jump" in 2020. It was adapted into a TV animation by TMS Entertainment in January 2025. It tells the story of the former strongest killer Taro Sakamoto who retired from the underworld, got married and had children, and became a fat uncle. He was liquidated by the former killer organization, so he teamed up with his juniors who came to persuade him to counterattack the killer organization.
This time, Figuarts mini condensed Sakamoto and Arata into a size of about 9 cm, and used the shape of the two wearing aprons while working in the store. The sculpture restored the rounded figure of the elder brother Sakamoto after gaining weight and the neat shape details of Arata at a ratio of about 2.5 heads. Sakamoto was given a replacement part of the head holding a gun and holding Nissin Cup Noodles, and Arata was given a replacement part of the hand holding a gun and aiming gesture. The decorations can be replaced to show the extraordinary daily life full of various crises in the work!
