The "ROBOT SPIRITS" series of robot-themed movable finished products released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectible toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company , has officially announced that the latest product "EX-001 Glass Feather" based on the "RX-78F00/E Gundam Life-Large Statue" at the Japan World Expo will be released in July 2025.
The 17-meter-tall "RX-78F00/E Gundam Life-Sized Statue" standing next to the "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION" exhibition hall in the 2025 World Expo in Japan (Osaka Kansai Expo) was modified from the life-size movable Gundam previously at the "GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA" in Yokohama. It was redesigned into a high-kneeling immovable statue looking up at the universe, and the shoulder armor, skirt armor, and leg armor on the left half of the body were replaced with a new shape that looks like a solar panel. When night falls, a special performance with matching lights and smoke effects will be performed.
However, the statue outside the venue is not the complete form of "RX-78F00/E Gundam". The completely new video work played inside the venue will lead the audience into the "world where humans and mobile suits coexist" and experience the journey to the space workstation via the orbital elevator. On the way, you can see the Gundam equipped with gorgeous solar panel wings "GLASS FEATHER" on its back .
The "ROBOT TAMASHI EX-001 Glass Feather" comes with a gorgeous "Glass Feather Equipment" backpack, which can be combined with the separately sold " RX-78F00/E Gundam " body. The solar panels on the front and back of the wings are detailed with delicate modeling, and transparent parts are used to show the internal structure. A huge thruster is mounted at the rear.
The pair of robotic arms at the top of the backpack have a multi-stage movable mechanism that can unfold the front gripper. The new equipment "Beam Welding Gun" added in this version comes with two parts: deployed and stored, and can be equipped on the left arm. In addition, the accessories also include a display stand with the same molding color as the solar panel, which can be connected to the latch under the backpack for display.
